Job Summary: The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing the global financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role includes managing the consolidation of financial results, leading global accounting teams, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Consolidation:
- Oversee the preparation of global financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Manage the consolidation of global financial results, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead the global close processes.
Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and international tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls across all global entities.
- Lead the coordination of internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure alignment on accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify and implement best practices in global financial operations.
- Lead through and meet the performance standards set forth by the company performance management system: SR5- scorecards, ROI’s and quarterly 5/15’s.
Strategic Financial Management:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with the CFO to develop and execute global financial strategies that align with business objectives.
- Oversee global cash management, treasury functions, and foreign exchange risk management.
Systems & Process Optimization:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of global financial processes.
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of financial systems and tools.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to support business operations.
Work Experience/Skill Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in a global, publicly traded company is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and international accounting standards.
- Proven experience in managing global accounting teams and financial operations.
